Our History
The ISO 26000 Stakeholders Global Network (SGN) is built upon a long history of international collaboration:
ISO 26000 Working Group: The development phase involving thousands of experts worldwide to create the foundational guidance on social responsibility.
Post Publication Organization (PPO): Focused on the initial dissemination and support of the standard after its official release.
Stakeholders Global Network: Formally founded in October 2018 in Bali, Indonesia. Today, we are a non-profit organization based in Vienna, Austria, dedicated to the standard's continuing relevance.
Governance
The SGN is a professionally managed non-profit organization with a structured leadership elected by its members. Our governance ensures that all stakeholder interests are represented fairly.
